22 April

Arrived in Amsterdam!
I didn’t told that all the trip we did a lapinou! The last lapinou, who was Mathilde, had to do something arriving in Chimay. We decided that she had to jump like a bunny around the coach screaming ‘lapinou’

I had a really good time in Scotland, and fortunately, a sunny weather!
I hope I gave you the envy to visit Scotland!

21 April

I decided to climb a mountain with the guy! We were supposed to wake up around 4.50 to be ready and go at 5 o’clock because we had to be at the restaurant at 7 for the breakfast.
But nobody heard his alarm clock! Fortunately Benoit wake up and Douglas came to wake me up! It was very hard to climb because we had nothing in the stomach. Each time we thought “we are on the top” it wasn’t the top…Anyway; it’s my best memory of this trip: we had such a beautiful view of highlands, and with the sunrise, it’s incredible!

It wad already our last day in Scotland…We stopped for lunch in the last town before England, we had dinner by “Paul’s take away” the Scottish mafia (that’s a good joke of Pierre-Ami and Valentin).
On the boat we hadn’t an hour to go to bed because it was our last way! We went to the club until…late, we had fun, mister and misses Monin impressed us when they danced! Our guide was also very motivated but our driver had to sleep, so he went!

20 April

Some guys (Cyrille, Batiste, Benoit and Valentin) decided to climb a mountain on the morning and they saw the sunrise, after that they wanted to have their bath in the river…and they did it!

We went to Edradour to visit a distillery; unfortunately we had to have 21 to do the tasting! We were really disappointed, but mister and misses kindly bought us a bottle of wisky 12 years-old! We had free time in Pitlochry, a nice little town, before going to the Blair castle, after the free visit of the castle we could walk in the arboretum, it’s such a pretty place! There was a wonderful swing, where we had a return in childhood, this swing was very solid and we could go very high as when we were child! We were sad to return to Glenshee but we had a good evening playing darts and a tasting of wisky! I found it a bit…hard!

19 April

“Good morning everybody, today…” hey the captain woke me up by the radio!
So, still no food, happily I took a little box of cornflakes with me.

We arrived in Newcastle and were going to Edinburgh, the capital city of Scotland! We had free time into Edinburgh, and Cyrille bought a kilt!

Edinburgh has 2 parts separated by Princess Street, the new town and the old town. We visited the new town by coach and saw the school of mister been! We visited the old town on foot, I found it more interesting because I love the old buildings and it was so sunny that it was very pleasant to walk along the royal mile (from the holy rood house to the castle, this road is one mile). You’ve got to look well, because there are some beautiful wynds, a piece of peace along a famous street; these seem to be private but no! You can go and just have a look! Enjoy!

After that we just went to Glenshee and we saw for the fist time what I call “true Scottish landscapes” it’s exactly what you can imagine: hills, mountains everywhere with brooks and rivers, the grass is very small because there are ships everywhere! Scotland has 5 million inhabitants, and 10 million ships! So you can imagine all the little white points that you can see in the landscape with all the girls saying “oohhh” each lamb.
Finally arriving to the spittal of Glenshee, our hotel. In the middle of nowhere, in the mountains, it was an idyllic place. We had a house for all of us with bedrooms of 4 or 6 and 4 bathrooms, the hotel-restaurant was further, and there was just one standard lamp behind the hotel, so we were in total darkness on the way “home” and I found it was sometimes frightening, especially when I was alone. On the evening we had our first true meal, dresser at will, really good!

Scotland...18 Arpil

I don’t really know how to begin ^^ so I’ll begin with the beginning!

18 April…

With a good crew made of 22 students, 2 super teachers, a guide (Bernard alias Berny) and our diver! At 9 a.m. we were going!

We stopped in Drogenbos around 11 a.m. and Douglas said “I know why Belgians found that very long to travel: they stop each couple of hours!” ahah…

We also stopped at 12 o’clock to have lunch, it was sunny and we had a really good time. Batiste climbed at the top of a tree to make a photography of everyone, it was impressive.

Arriving in Amsterdam at 16 o’clock we rose aboard the boat called “King of Scandinavia” measuring 166metres from prow to stern. Very luxury with several restaurants, a piano bar, a little dance club…

We slept on booth, our booth were in the same hall and as the menu of the boat was a bit expensive and not including we just eat our sandwiches altogether in the hall ^^.We slept VERY WELL on the boat!!

Jeff Dunham

What's ventriloquism?a little story...
Ventriloquism got its start in ancient times, somewhere around the sixth century BC, it is believed, when it was used to supposedly communicate with the dead. The first known ventriloquist of this type was Louis Brabant. He was in the court of the French King Francis the First. It became a widespread belief that the spirits of the dead went to the stomachs of the prophets and continued to exist there. The prophets were then able to foretell the future by the spirits who were speaking from his or her belly. Hence the name "ventriloquist" which means "belly speaker" in Latin. Of course, it was the prophets themselves who had learned the art of ventriloquism so they could fool their listeners and claim to have divine powers.
people were so .... not very clever I think!
For a long time, ventriloquism was viewed negatively by the Christian church.. Finally, though, it was looked upon as simply being a form of entertainment. Finally, at the end of the nineteenth century, a comedian came up with an act which he performed with his dummy.Russell became known as the "father of modern ventriloquism."
And jeff Dunham?
Jeffery "Jeff" Dunham is an American ventriloquist.
Achmed, the Dead Terrorist is the skeletal puppet of an incompetent suicide bomber. He is used by Dunham to perform comedy based on the contemporary issue of terrorism. He is known for yelling, "Silence! I kill you!" to Dunham and people in the audience who laugh at him.

In America, and now in our favorite college, when someone tells you "silence, i'll kill you" everyone know that it refers to Achmed and laugh. If not, he's got to see it!!
